The War to End All Wars
By: Billstar2
Date: March 15, 2026
Comment: Decent story and I love Peter Purves in these audio dramas.
The Seeds of Death: Episode 1
Date: March 12, 2026
Comment: "Well we have our own system, thank you. Only it isn't foolproof." Jamie
The Tenth Planet: Episode 4
By: Billstar2
Date: March 10, 2026
Comment: Very dramatic ending to this episode. Can’t help but wonder how people in the 60’s felt about this and upcoming episodes I’m seeing for the first time.
The Tenth Planet: Episode 3
By: Billstar2
Date: March 10, 2026
Comment: Another great intense episode. Great cliffhanger as well.
The Tenth Planet: Episode 2
By: Billstar2
Date: March 10, 2026
Comment: A decent amount of action in this episode. Seems like the early seasons were lighter on action and heavier on my cerebral elements. I personally like more action but that’s me.
The Tenth Planet: Episode 1
By: Billstar2
Date: March 6, 2026
Comment: Surprised no one commented on this one. I believe this is the first appearance of one of the Doctor’s more famous villains.
Falling
Title: Falling
By: Billstar2
Date: March 6, 2026
Comment: Ok audio drama. Feels like one of those “a little too deep” for me to get/appreciate. I get the metaphor about things coming to an end but the rest is just ok.
The Crumbling Magician
By: Billstar2
Date: March 1, 2026
Comment: Hard to complain about nonlinear storytelling in Doctor Who. Not my favorite but it does work for this story. I know this is supposed to be about the Doctor’s regenerations but it backs up my belief to stay as far away from doctors as possible.
Ten Little Aliens
By: Billstar2
Date: March 1, 2026
Comment: With the title, I thought it was a take on the Agatha Christie book Ten Little Indians. Thought it was a murder mystery, it was not. Wasn’t crazy about the Space Marines either and they seemed more the main characters instead of the TARDIS crew. Also, some one really wa... [continued]
Food for Thought, Part III
By: Billstar2
Date: February 3, 2026
Comment: Not a great ending. Did like the mollusks though.
Food for Thought, Part II
By: Billstar2
Date: February 3, 2026
Comment: Another decent story, the line “The Doctor and his swinging sixties fashion accessory” I assume refers to Polly feels incredibly dated and wrong.
Food for Thought, Part I
By: Billstar2
Date: February 3, 2026
Comment: The art is decent and story is ok. Giant mollusks.
The Three Paths
By: Billstar2
Date: February 3, 2026
Comment: Ok story if a bit confusing.
The Smugglers: Episode 4
By: Billstar2
Date: January 24, 2026
Comment: Action packed last episode. The lesson I’ve learned is stay away from Avery’s treasure. No good can come of it.
The Smugglers: Episode 3
By: Billstar2
Date: January 23, 2026
Comment: Doctor, crafty as always. Another fun episode. Curious if they are going to find what they are looking for.
The Smugglers: Episode 2
By: Billstar2
Date: January 22, 2026
Comment: A lot going on in this episode. I’m currently playing Uncharted 4 and Captain Avery is a huge part of that game so this is a bit more interesting for me now.
The Smugglers: Episode 1
By: Billstar2
Date: January 18, 2026
Comment: Watched a recreation of this on YouTube. Decent start to this one. Leaving the door open rather invites people to come in, not the other way around.
The Destination Wars
By: gardibolt
Date: January 11, 2026 +1
Comment: David Warner does a pretty good First Doctor with enough of Hartnell’s attitude without really doing an imitation. Since I’m reading from the start, I had no idea who the Master was but I figured out enough to appreciate it.
The Fragile Yellow Arc of Fragrance
By: gardibolt
Date: November 29, 2025
Comment: Really terrific. In the First Doctor Boxset, this is Chapters 59-68. It really doesn’t have any story connection to Farewell, Great Macedon, but it was written as a spec script to show the writer could do Farewell, Great Macedon, so it got him the gig. So I presume that... [continued]
Farewell, Great Macedon
By: gardibolt
Date: November 28, 2025 +1
Comment: It took a while to get going but it had a suitably emotional ending. In the First Doctor Box Set, this story is chapters 1-58.
A Small Semblance of Home
Date: November 8, 2025 +1
Comment: A quaint little tale that is so delightfully British, this one put a smile on my face.
Rise and Fall
Title: Rise and Fall
By: gardibolt
Date: November 7, 2025
Comment: This was quite enjoyable and a nifty central conceit.
Campaign
Title: Campaign
By: gardibolt
Date: November 6, 2025 +1
Comment: Reading it in the middle of the night in a fit of insomnia just how it was written seems like it was the appropriate way to experience it. There’s some really intriguing stuff here but the big reveal kind of falls flat.
The Reign of Terror: Prisoners of Conciergerie
By: gardibolt
Date: November 4, 2025 +1
Comment: Satisfying ending. The Doctor’s final speech sure feels like the BBC did not believe that the show would continue to a second season. Reading the First Doctor Handbook it’s clear they were determined to get rid of Susan and to a lesser extent Barbara. Pamela Franklin wa... [continued]
The Reign of Terror: The Tyrant of France
By: gardibolt
Date: November 4, 2025 +1
Comment: Hartnell is just so much fun here. It would be nice to recover these missing episodes.
The Keys of Marinus
Date: November 3, 2025
Comment: Ian pulls a fast one on Yartek. I wonder why Yartek doesn't have a spatula on his nose like the rest of the Voord? Anyone this was a good, fun series.
Keys of Marinus: Sentence of Death
Date: November 3, 2025
Comment: I think most people (including myself on my previous watch through) are wanting to see the Doctor so we were disappointed in the previous 2 episodes without him and were thrilled to have him back in this. Once you are here for the Ian and Barbara show then you see the episo... [continued]
Keys of Marinus: The Snows of Terror
Date: November 3, 2025
Comment: I liked it a lot better on this watch through. I have accepted that it is the Ian and Barbara show and I'm here for it.
Keys of Marinus: The Screaming Jungle
Date: November 3, 2025
Comment: This has really turned into the Ian and Barbara show with the Doctor barely in the episodes.
Keys of Marinus: The Velvet Web
Date: November 3, 2025
Comment: As mentioned before, why did they all see the illusions when they arrived before the disks were placed on them. A great episode spotlighting Barbara.
Keys of Marinus: The Sea of Death
Date: November 3, 2025
Comment: I love this episode! Why is Ian wearing that? The Voord with the knife in its back attacking Susan is fire! All of the walls that have revolving panels, just why? Ian standing there looking like an action hero, not a school teacher, lol. Oh, I forgot about the invisible ba... [continued]
Marco Polo: Assassin at Peking
Date: November 3, 2025
Comment: I think on this watch through I was pulled a more into Ping-Cho's story and her friendship with Susan. The backgammon game between The Doctor and Khan is so great. Ping-Cho is thankfully saved from her marriage. Marco Polo was a well fleshed out character, Tegana was an ove... [continued]
Marco Polo: Mighty Kublai Khan
Date: November 3, 2025
Comment: So Ian recaptures Ping-Cho so she can be forced to marry a 75 year old man. There are some performances that would be unacceptable in 2025.
Marco Polo: Rider From Shang-Tu
Date: November 2, 2025 +1
Comment: How is Tegana still not exposed? 300 miles a day on horseback? I wonder if Carole Ann Ford and Ping-cho's actress got along well? They were (presumably) close in age and had lots of scenes together. Oh no Susan!
Marco Polo: The Wall of Lies
Date: November 2, 2025 +1
Comment: Marco Polo was the most sold story overseas, some collector must have at least one episode in there collection. I'm hoping film in fabulous is actually able to facilitate the return of a few missing episodes. Ha, Tegana suddenly appears in the cave and they still don't susp... [continued]
Marco Polo: Five Hundred Eyes
Date: November 2, 2025 +1
Comment: Really hard to believe that there is no other water available in the Tardis. Heck the food dispenser had 2 buttons for water. The Doctor should have worked on repairing it when he was back in the Tardis. Interesting that Barbara is the only one suspicious of Tegana.
Marco Polo: The Singing Sands
Date: November 2, 2025 +1
Comment: Nice interaction between Susan and Barbara. Susan also has some nice scenes with Ping-Cho. No real explanation how Tegana could the girls in the sand storm. Sure send Tegana ahead to secure the water, should have sent Ian with him. The Doctor finally appears only to collaps... [continued]
Marco Polo: The Roof of the World
Date: November 2, 2025
Comment: No water or heat in the Tardis? Ian was really just going to leave Barbara behind? "The old man has the mountain sickness" wow it sure didn't take long for the Doctor to get sick. How did the Doctor and Susan ever survive before Ian and Barbara? 75 year old to marry a 16 ye... [continued]
The Reign of Terror: A Bargain of Necessity
By: gardibolt
Date: November 1, 2025
Comment: Very talkative episode, but at least it touched on some important moral issues.
The Reign of Terror: A Change of Identity
By: gardibolt
Date: November 1, 2025
Comment: Never let it be said that the Doctor has no sense of style.
