I love this episode! Why is Ian wearing that? The Voord with the knife in its back attacking Susan is fire! All of the walls that have revolving panels, just why? Ian standing there looking like an action hero, not a school teacher, lol. Oh, I forgot about the invisible barrier around the Tardis.

Another very strong first episode - this is the way to begin a story! Mysterious, imaginative, quirky (as others have said)...I loved the proto-Wilhelm scream and the plethora of revolving panels littering the outer wall of the building...

Quirky, yet interesting first episode to this serial.

BARBARA: "Pity you don't have colour television." DOCTOR: "Oh, but I have." BARBARA: "Where is it, then?" DOCTOR: "Well, at the moment it's temporarily hors de combat."

I actually like this episode, the glass beach, the acid ocean and the Voord are interesting.

Enjoyed this episode, quirky as it was. Note to self, if I chose to try to keep out Voord enemies maybe I should find a way to lock revolving door walls.

I just love the effect when the Voord falls down the pit...

"Do you suppose it's frozen". "No, impossible in this temperature. Also, it's to warm." Umm, doctor...those two sentences say the same thing...
