With the title, I thought it was a take on the Agatha Christie book Ten Little Indians. Thought it was a murder mystery, it was not. Wasn’t crazy about the Space Marines either and they seemed more the main characters instead of the TARDIS crew.

Also, some one really wanted to make a Choose Your Own Adventure book. I love those just not in the middle of another book.

I enjoy a good Aliens-meets-The-Thing story as much as the next guy, but for me the CYOA section came completely out of left field and was rather disorienting. Do I think these worked well in a Doctor Who context? Not particularly.

I can recognise this is well-written, but the space marines thing just does nooooooothing for me. Could-a done without all the body horror, too. CYOA section worked better than I was expecting.
