I attempted to read X-Men chronologically about fifteen years ago (yikes!) and I didn't get very far, not even up to the point where it went to reprints. This was partly because it was crap, partly because it was annoying having to read it on a computer at my desk and partly because whenever a comic references a previous appearance of a character in another title it makes me wish I had read that too. I'm happy that this website and Marvel Unlimited exists so I can read from the beginning on a tablet in a way that makes sense, something I wished I was able to do as a kid but it simply wasn't possible back then. And even though some of it is really bad it is making me appreciate the good stuff for how great it was.
